Oh, the horror! The President of the United States said the S-word! An expletive? Oh my god, alert the media!
You know I’m the last person to agree with George W. Bush on much of anything, but this is, well, bullshit. He’s a grown ass man having a private meeting with another grown man. If had his job and had to even fathom what was going on in the Middle East along with the rest of the world, I’d be cursing a lot.
And frankly, I’m almost proud of him since he actually used it correctly in grammar and definition! Go George!
SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! Such nonsense. I hope the retards at CNN enjoy their celebration of stupidity.

July is a busy month.
The boy and I are off to Birmingham for a wedding weekend. We get a short reprieve next weekend, and then it’s off to fun at the beach in Hilton Head at the end of the month.
I leave you with this from Stuff On My Cat.com. Cheers!

Why is it that every time I try to do any online banking, something goes wrong?
Why is it that when I call, I have to be on hold "for an expected wait time of 6 minutes"?
Why is it that as soon as I have to hold, I also have to pee?
Why did my expected wait time just jump to "greater than 10 minutes"?

I got this dress off of Bluefly.com at an absurd price.
Was it extremely discounted? Yes.
Was it more than I should ever spend on anything that I will probably only wear one or two times? Oh yes.
Will I be dancing around in it and modeling it for the dog in the living room regardless of that? Oh hell yes.

I went from green to blue.
I updated my about page and changed my pic.
I changed the tag line.
I’ll probably make more changes at the dorkathon tonight.
Stay tuned.

I’m back from my whirlwhind trip home to see my new niece. It was great to spend time with my mom, sister, and brother-in-law, and the baby is absolutely adorable. And chunky. And goofy. I spent a good deal of time fighting with my mom over who gets to hold her.
Here’s me finally meeting her:
And obviously we had to go get dim sum. She’s not really into it yet, though.
My mom watched the baby one night and my sis, brother in law, and I went to eat Giant Ass Chicken Nachos™ and beer.
After wrestling Jordin from my mom, I let her sleep on my boobs. See, they’re good for something!
Since I’m the educator in the family, I thought I’d go ahead and start teaching her gang signs.
She’s also pretty good at kung-fu.
Here’s a pic of all the girls (my sis, me, baby, mom).
All in all it was a great trip. I’ll be back soon, and hopefully she won’t grow too much!

Thank you to everyone who came out for drinks last night, especially since it was so last minute: Tony & the gorgeous Geester, Dave and his sister-who’s-so-young-it’s-embarrassing, Bobafred, Maigh, Hakeber, Duane, Mark… did I forget someone? It must have been those 7-8 Hoegaardens…
It really meant a lot to me that you all were there. I probably wasn’t the best company, but you all cheered me up immensely. And thanks for the sage advice. Honestly, it was totally worth waiting for two years to finally make some really cool and decent friends here. Love you guys!
In other news, I’m flying home to Borlando after work to see family, eat lots of Chinese food, and take 29847264 pictures of my niece. See you kitties when I get back.

I’ll be at The Highlander around 5:30 pm today for a post-work, drowning-my-sorrows-pity-party on the patio for a few.
I promise not to bite.
